Join me on an herb hike in the foothills to learn about local plants, their uses, and key identification tips! This is among my favorite places for a pleasant break from the city and immersion into a variety of herbs that grow in the mountains! The hike is easy to moderate and will last about 2.5-3 hours depending on how many plants are out to talk about, which at this time, should be a fair amount. Feel free to bring notebooks to take notes. Meeting point: Beaver Brook Trail Head off of the Chief Hosa exit. Take Exit 253 as you are heading West on I-70. Turn right when you exit, and right again onto a dirt path. Follow the dirt road down to park and we will meet near the restroom area. We will meet you there at 8:45 and start hiking by 9:00 sharp. If you are running behind, it may be difficult to connect since cell phone service is not very good or even available, but you’re welcome to catch up to us!!
When: Sunday July 28th 8:45am meeting at the trailhead, starting hike at 9:00 until about 11:30am. Beaver Brook trail Chief Hosa Exit 253
